This year's World Mobile Congress helped to slightly lift the lid on Samsung's new Bada platform with French developers int13 lending a hand. The same company behind the recently reported Parrot AR Drone are specialists in the Augmented Reality gaming scene which combines the completion of titles using your real world surroundings thanks to utilisation of mobile handset's cameras. Samsung's first Bada phone will come in the form of the Wave or the S8500 to give it its technical name.
int13 will be providing two launch titles on Samsung's new format, the first of which comes in Kweekies, a Pokemon-styled game that involves the training and battling of captured creatures. The twist is that you will be able to raise and throw your characters into combat, in settings that mirror your actual location, by using a paper symbol and the handset's camera...
The second is AR Defender, which will come preloaded on the Wave when it is released. Using the device's camera and a paper symbol again, you will be able to fix the location of a tower and your goal is to defend it from the impending enemy onslaught. You will need to move your phone around and shoot your foes in the air and on the ground as they attempt to enter your territory. No more details have been released on these titles as of yet but whilst the wait for more ensues, check out the videos below to see the two in action.
