23-12-11: We have been talking and speculating a lot recently about the future of augmented reality. With rumours circulating that Google is working on a pair of glasses, Sensics had made a move to use Google's Android Platform and design a new device, named the SmartGoggles.
The headset will feature an in-built computer system, have the capability to display in 3D and will house in-built cameras, allowing the SmartGoggles to show real-world environments, similar to the augmented reality apps for the current Smartphones. But their aim is to take this, and make it far more usable.
Users will be able to watch 3D videos and play games and are said to officially launch the details of the device at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las vegas this January.
