In his article, Virtually Yours, our writer Martin Murphy discussed the possibility of starring in your favourite movies alongside the original cast. It seems as though such a situation may be nearer than we all thought.

As reported in Variety Magazine, a new device known as Yoostar is set to hit shelves in the near future, allowing its users to take their place in select scenes from movies such as The Terminator and Rocky Balboa, to name just a couple.

Yoostar consists of a high quality web cam, software package and green screen, which will allow you to blend (hopefully seamlessly) into movie scenes included on the disc. Once your scene is completed, it can then be uploaded to the Yoostar website, where anyone can view your starring moment! Okay, you won't get the sort of paycheques the original actors commanded, but with the President of Yoostar, Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne, suggesting that the device would be a useful tool for wannabe actors to gain experience in front of a camera, it could be the first stepping stone to that!
