17-01-12: Nokia has improved the Local Scout app that anyone with a Windows Phone 7 will be familiar with, by adding augmented reality into the mix.
Nokia City Lens will see users being able to use their phone's camera with the app to locate the nearest 64 places that are relevant to the search they have performed.
They will appear on the screen as the user moves, indicating the direction and how far away they are.
Once the user has then found a place, information on it will flash up, with contact details and reviews.
There is no word just yet as to when this will be launched, but it will no doubt be at some point this year.
