11-01-12: CES has seen Aurasma reveal their new 3D engine, which allows developers to make 3D animations and use them in an augmented reality context. Yesterday we shared the footage of their 3D dinosaur, which you can see here.
But they don't plan to just support developers. The company have plans to create a library full of 3D characters and animations.
Users will just need to point their phone at something, such as a building or a picture and then assign the 3D animation to it. After this, if another Aurasma who is subscribed to your channel points their phone at the same thing you tagged, the app will download the file!
