With the 3D generation now in full swing, Acer have become the latest big name franchise to join what is set to be entertainments new phenomenon. The AS5738 has been specifically designed to, not only deliver 3D imaging but also throw standard 2D imaging into the new era.
TriDef3D is the technology behind the hardware which comes with a 3D screen, software and even your very own set of glasses. It's 15.6" HD display and 'ignition tool' that can convert any programmes built on DirectX9 or above can be enough to put any technophobe off this latest release. Never fear though as by simply turning 3D mode off you will have yourself a standard laptop that can be used for any domestic purpose.
Acer's new baby also boasts Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 4GB Ram, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphic card which has 512MB of dedicated memory. Just to add to the overall experience, there is even 5.1 channel Dolby Home Theatre audio for those perfectionists out there. What else does it offer we hear you say? Well how about a hi-res webcam, mulit-gesture touchpad and two touch buttons for quick file back-up. All this will set you back a measly sum of approximately $800 (£490 at the current exchange rate) and is available as of this week (26/10/09).
